March 1 & 2 (Tues & Wed) 9am – 3pm

Experimental Watercolor

with Joye Moon You will deal with exploring traditional and experimental watercolor techniques that can be incorporated into your individual style of painting, with many types of subject mater such as flowers and landscape to altered realism and playful abstraction. Your standard watercolor supplies are all that is needed. If any “Special” supplies are needed, Joye will provide that to the group. Tuition: 160/$140ADSO mem.

 

 

March 15 (Tuesday) 9:30am – 3:30pm

Creating with Collage

Karen Valdes, Instructor. During the workshop you will learn the principles of collage and some of the fun technique to make it easier. Tuition: $65

 

 

March 19 or April 9 (Sat.) 9:30 – 11:30am

Fused Glass / Kelly Bott. You will make and take home two pieces of fused glass jewelry. Students can take one or both workshops. Beginners, but all welcome.

Tuition $35/$30 Adso member.

 

 

March 21 – 25 (Monday – Friday) 1 – 3 pm

Spring Break Sculpture for Children

An opportunity for students ages 7-12 to takes art lessons during spring break.  This class will focus on sculptural art, including clay, mixed media, and found objects.  The tuition is $18 per day/$75 per week or $15 per day/$65 per week ADSO members, with the student choosing the number of days - but reservations must be made in advance. Instructor Marcy Eady. 

 

 

March 28, (Monday) 9am – 4pm

Precious Metal Clay Workshop

by Dale Engler.  This class will explore how to work with Precious Metals and Clay, with at least 3 pieces of jewelry produced. Both kiln firing and torch firing will be demonstrated. $80 / $70ADSO members,

Encaustics

With Sue Tarkin

Learn to paint with wax.

Bring in your paintings or other project you are working on and work with other artists, whether it is a painting or a different medium.

Wednesday 10 - noon
Learn to paint as the old masters painted, with the lights and darks. Focus is on Still life and portraiture. Cost $85 per month /$70 members

Photography Group

The group's mission is to encourage fellowship and to provide a place where photographers may discuss and exhibit their work. Attendance is Free.

Life Drawing
1st & 3rd Thursday 6—9 PM
Hone your drawing skills with the human figure. Bring your pencils & paper. No instruction Cost: $8/$6 member

You are not registered until ADSO receives payment of 50% of tuition. We cannot hold your place in a class without a deposit.

Deposit will be returned if cancellation is more that 1 month prior to class / 50% of deposit will be returned if cancellation is 1 month to 2 weeks prior to class / no refund if cancellation is 2 weeks or less prior to class.  Visa and MasterCard Accepted.

This policy is necessary due to ADSO'S contractual commitment to the artist/instructor one month prior to class.
